Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with department heads to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for staff, usage, and disaster recovery.

Acquisition & Deployment

• Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and otherhardware.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain VOIP phone system to include phone servers, phones, and faxes

Operational Management

• Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling County objectives and processes.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Manage servers, including database, e-mail, printers, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.

• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

System Administration & IT Support Management

● Maintain computer networks related to computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations of Tablets, smart phone, PDA’s etc.
● Configuration and Support of Network-attached storage (NAS) Storage.
● Configuration and implementation of WAN (Wide Area Network) and Local Area Network (LAN).
● Troubleshooting Repairing and Maintenance of Computer Hardware, Printer and Document Management Scanners.
● Branch Site Hardware Troubleshooting and Repairing.
● DHCP and Active Directory configuration of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012 /2012 R2.
● IT security / Firewall configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG), Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway TMG and ISA server.
● Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
● Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
● Maintain Help desk and daily proper check at IT Infrastructure support services and make sure that users get prompt and quality support..
● Manage BCM setup (Business Contingency management) and make sure the availability 24/7.


Help Desk Support

● Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
● Respond to queries either in person or over the phone, write training manuals and train computer users.
● Maintain daily performance of computer systems and respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
● Ask questions to determine nature of problem and walk customer through problem-solving process.
● Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software and clean up computers.
● Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems and resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.


ATM Support

● Install and Re-Configure ATM Machines.
● Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
● Provide temporary work around solutions for business to continue till incident or problem is resolved.
● Assist and coordinate workers engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software.
Business Technology Support (For Corporate Clients)
● Internet Front End (IFE) Commercial application (Flex Cube) configuration in corporate client’s environment.
● Provide technical support related to user authentication and access issues.
● Configuring the access devices of IFE Commercial application for corporate clients, i.e. L’Oreal, Karachi Port Trust, Philip Morris, UNILEVER, GETZ Pharmacy, Telenor Pakistan, Tri-pack etc.
● Training of corporate users for IFE Commercial application.


Inventory & Vendor Management

● Vendor management for application maintenance and support.
● Vendor management for purchases, services and maintenance.
● Inventory management of hardware equipment.SLA management.

● Installation & Commissioning of Huawei DBS 3900, 3900A & Huawei PowerCube 1000 Hybrid Cabinet (Indoor & Outdoor) Macro, Micro sites and Roll Out sites.
● Swapping of Ericsson RBS 2116 and RBS 2216 to Huawei DBS 3900.
● Guiding subordinates in installation and cut over.
● Diagnosis technical problems and providing solution less time.
● Conduction of initial Drive Test after commissioning of DBS.
● Pre PAT and PAT of the site with zero snags.
● Survey reporting of site with picture and documentation.
● Cards installation in Huawei DBS 3900 including BBU, Power Distribution Unit, RRU, Fiber patching etc.

• Responsible for performing fiber optics assembly operations and LAN/WAN configuration, installation and troubleshoot.
• PABX installation, configuration of Avaya, Nortel, Panasonic and Linux based Asterisk PABX system etc.
• Interactive voice response (IVR) setup on Asterisk PABX and dial plan configuration etc.
• Installation, configuration and trouble shoot of all type of Router, Switches, computer networks etc.
• Diagnosis technical problems and providing solution less time.
