• Co-ordination between Operations Team, Consultant, Contractors & Sub-Contractors, Local Authorities etc.
• Co-ordination with other engineering discipline specialists and Company’s home office as required.
• Supervision of contractors works including fabrication, installation, testing, painting, commissioning of Oil & Gas facilities, particularly Oil Storage tanks, vessels, associated piping and pipelines, Civil, Mechanical, E & I etc.
• Supervision of contractor’s other discipline works including tank foundation, dike walls, pavement, drainage, fire protection systems, electrical and instrumentation etc. with support of respective discipline engineers from home office as required.
• Coordinating with Project manager and design engineers to sort out engineering issues arising during construction.
• Installation, testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning of various Static and Rotary equipment including pumps, compressors, package equipment etc.
• Progress monitoring and approvals.
• Checking and certification of Contractor’s invoices with respect to the actual progress at site.
• Maintain latest copies of all drawings and documents at the site office.
• Ensure that works are carried out as per the latest & approved drawings and applicable engineering Codes & Standards, Client & Local Authority requirements etc.
• Ensure that proper Quality control is maintained for all the works being carried out at site.
• Material inspections, review & approval of Material Certificates etc.
• Ensure that approved materials only are used in the works.
• Preparation of Punch lists for mechanical completion of Tanks, Equipment, Piping and Pipelines, including for fire water/ foam systems.
• Process and resolve concession & deviation requests, non-conformities etc. from the Contractors.
• Attend daily, weekly & monthly meetings with Client and Contractors.
• Meetings and follow-ups with Local Authorities for obtaining necessary permits, approvals etc.
• Review, comment and approve the construction related deliverables submitted by Contractors, including procedures, method statements, ITPs etc.
• Witness all destructive & non-destructive tests, examinations etc. by the Contractors.

• Study and assess the relevant drawings, specifications, and instructions for specific or functional area of responsibility
• Verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and coordinate with Construction Lead /Manager/Project Manager of any deficiencies or clarifications needed
• Review in co-operation with the Construction Manager / Project Manager and agree the overall site programme for the area of responsibility including Sub-contractors' programmes
• Identify any problem areas in the programmes, discuss with the Construction Manager / Project Manager and agree a solution
• Ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, equipment, scaffolding etc required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour
• Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with sub-contractors site representatives
• To be fully familiar with the sub-contractors methods of construction, programming, procedures and to resolve any apparent conflicts
• Ensure that all Sub-contractors employed within the area of responsibility are fully aware of their obligations and responsibilities
• Ensure, before any variation work is carried out by a sub-contractor that an authorised instruction is given by the Construction Manager and/Project Manager
• Assist in the authorising or refuting of any claims by the Sub-contractor of delays, waiting time or abortive work
• To be familiar with and aware that Company and Site Procedures are adhered to
• Ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections, certifications are strictly adhered to.
• Provide technical assistance to the Construction Manager /Project Manager in the compilation of cost and progress reports
• Ensure that Construction Team and the Sub-contractors programmes are produced and monitored in accordance with the requirements of the contract
• Constantly review progress and monitor programmes, updating the latter, when necessary, in conjunction with the Construction Manager /Project Manager
• Co-ordinate and report on a weekly and monthly basis on all progress matters and problem areas
• Ensure adequate and qualified supervision and skilled labour resources are employed to meet schedule requirements
• Constantly strive to obtain maximum productivity and economical use of labour and equipment to keep costs within budget
• Ensure that all Company systems of Quality Assurance are adhered to and assist the Project Quality Manager in the completion of site system test sheets and the test dossier
• Ensure that Company systems for material identification and stores requisitioning are adhered to by all those under his control
• To be responsible for the Health and Safety of all personnel working in the area or areas within the site
• Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities are adhered to and understood
• Ensure that all work within their area of responsibility is carried out with good safety practices and full adherence to any site permit system that is in operation

SHUTDOWN PROJECT IN EQUATE

• Planning and timely delivery of offshore construction execution in an offshore brownfield environment.
• Acting as primary interface with contractor construction teams and other specialist vendors.
• Proving input into and participation in project reviews such as constructability reviews, Lay out reviews, SIMOP reviews.
• Carrying out review of construction and offshore execution manhours estimates.
• Providing guidance to contractor in the system completion activities, certification (inspection & testing) of construction activities and close out work packs.
• Working closely with an integrated construction and asset operation teams to assure continual alignment with the project strategy and business objectives.
• Providing effective safety leadership in ensuring that all project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded, in the scoping planning and execution of de - commissioning activities.
• Carrying out of participating in reviews of contractors offshore construction execution plans and schedules.
• Review of construction deliverables including scopes of work and construction work packs, methods statements for construction activities.
