Position: Lead Mechanical Engineer (November 2015 - Present)

•Managed and Supervised a team of responsible field engineers and ensured that they are following quality, safety and complying with the required job procedure and practices.
•Ensured that our design is compliant with employer requirements, codes and standards by leading design and constructability workshops with the client repetitive in Riyadh and Madrid offices.
•Approved all necessary Request for Information (RFI), Field Change Documents (FCD) on the MEP IFC packages for a better procurement and execution activity.
•Managed all MEP Engineering inspections, Material Requisition (MR), Nonconformance Reports (NCR) and construction work packages (CWP) and ensured compliance with project specifications, codes and standards.
•Drafted and issued Elevated stations MEP Service Requisition and lead the technical evaluation phase.
•Chaired weekly meetings for Lifts and escalator subcontract package in Elevated Stations, and ensured that all ES team (project control, construction and field engineering team) are involved in the progress.
•Chaired MEP BIM Sessions with the MEP team, for a better understanding of the design and to answer any technical queries.

Riyadh Metro Project - BACS Consortium, Design Office, Madrid, Spain

•Pushed MEP deliverables on the line by conducting engineering reviews
•Solved design problems and consultant’s comments by Chairing and managing meetings with the lead designers.
•Ensured that our design is compliant with projects standards and specifications by leading the coordination between Madrid design center and Riyadh central design office
•Tracked BOQ line items to detect any change that might affect procurement and construction.

King Abdulaziz International Airport Development Project, Jeddah, KSA, CM Contract of a $ 10 bn airport

• Monitored and inspected mechanical works for load center C (Utility area consisting of firefighting pump station, potable water pump station, generator plant, district cooling plan, two office buildings and four gates), mosque and fuel farm as per approved shop drawings, method of statements and ITPs.
• Inspected the installation of Jet fuel lines (fit up, visual welding inspection, painting, holiday test), reinforced concrete (RC), glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) and PVC underground piping as per project’s approved specifications, method of statements and ITPs.
• Witnessed third party radiographic and magnetic tests for jet fuel lines and glycol piping network.
• Conducted hydro test and air test for underground piping as per approved method of statement.
• Supervised a team of mechanical engineers.


King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh, KSA, PM contract of a $2 bn medical city

• Monitored and inspected the installation of mechanical works for fifteen operation rooms and four MRI Rooms as per approved shop drawing and project specifications.
• Monitored and Inspected the installation of dialysis and medical gas piping and LPG pipes network as per approved shop drawings and ITPs.
• Inspected mechanical equipment deliveries to ensure compliance with approved material submittal.
• Witnessed Testing and commissioning for mechanical equipment in the presence of certified third party
• Conducted water balancing tests for AHUs, FCUs, and pumps.
• Inspected the installation of FM200 Gas system as per approved shop drawings.
• Conducted and monitored the interfacing of mechanical equipment (air handling units, dampers, exhaust fans, FM200) with fire alarm system from the fire alarm control panel.
• Conducted Ceiling releases inspections in different hospital areas.
• Provided technical input for different design changes in plumbing, ducting and fire fighting using international industry codes (ASHRAE, NFPA).

• Calculated the cooling load and air-flow using HAP Software and ASHRAE.
• Designed an air distribution system using international industry codes (ASHRAE and NFPA).
• Designed a complete Chilled Water piping system to meet the project requirements and specification.
• Selected different HVAC Equipment (Pumps, Chillers, fans) using ASHRAE and manufacturer's manual
• Air/Water Pressure Drop Calculation.

• Coordinated between the client and the design office.
• Selected different Mechanical Equipment (6 air cooled chillers, 6 primary/secondary pumps, expansion tank, air separator, break pressure tank, water treatment system, booster splits).
• Designed a complete Chilled Water piping system.
• Calculated the cooling load and air-flow using HAP Software and ASHRAE.
• Supervised a team of Draughtsman and executed shop drawings.
